Web-Development Home Page

Web development is a pretty broad area and we'll mostly concentrate on HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language, for the uniniatiated) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), areas where we are at least familiar. As we learn, we'll talk about SSI, PHP, Perl and other things. Don't get discouraged by the gobbledegook - all areas of speciality have their own special language; it's just a part of the price you pay when you learn something.

For folks that have never tried it, making a web page (or a web site, for that matter) is easy... and fun! Learning how to do that makes a great hobby and what you can accomplish is limited only by your desire to learn or how much work you want to put into it. We'll talk about all aspects of doing your own website, from designing your own personal web page to buying your own special place on the world- wide-web where you can build you own website. And it's all surprisingly easy - and simple.
