Music has always been important to us. We grew up listening to radio, then going to movies and watching TV. Benney and I, of course, have very different memories of the music we listened to as youngsters and teens. Linda's memories include the Hollywood musicals and Benney's lean more toward Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly and the Everly Brothers.
There's lots of ways to present music. I've chosen to use midi files for the sounds and link them to the lyrics. To listen to the music I've used the Windows Media Player icon:
No music has been embedded because I believe you should hear music only when you choose to do so.
I have written these pages to display the lyrics at the same time you're listening to the music. As of this date, everything works - if you are using Windows Media Player. Because there are many "music players" available for computers, and undoubtedly more to come, I have no way of knowing how the music will play on your computer. Some players open a new window so you can't see the lyrics at the same time. If you are using a different player, or if Windows Media Player changes, these pages may not display the way I intend. As an alternative option, all the lyrics are printable.
Have fun exploring and I hope some of "my music" brings back pleasant memories to you as well.
Feel free to right-click the name of any midi file and save it to your own computer. (See Disclaimer below) Please do not link directly to this website.
