Education Home Page

We believe in education - unreservedly and universally. There are two parts to our support of education. First, the mental health of the individual receiving the education. Most studies show that better educated people have less mental health issues in middle age, and that on-going education tends to slow the onset of dementia, and possibly Alzheimer's, in old age. Secondly, the way the human brain works is that we think using words - not abstract concepts - so it follows that the more words we know, and the more clearly we understand the definitions of those words, the more clearly (or precisely) we will be able to think: hence the value of universal education.

We're not really sure how this section will develop. Probably a section on modern education, versus historical education, and probably a section on current and past educational theory - or theories - and probably a section on education and ageing. We'll just have to wait and see how this grows.

For right now, though, this section is:
